The Wedding Night Groom

Tuesday, July 31st, 2007

Have you had fantasies about your wedding night? If you are going through the process of planning your wedding I hope you are thinking about that first night together as husband and a wife. And if you are the groom you are probably the one with the most expectations. More than likely you as the groom had very little to with the wedding planning. Oh, you may have been asked your opinion on a few things but only after someone else has already made a decision. Hopefully this is not the case but more than likely it is.

Well, now its your turn. The location for your wedding night has probably been planned but the groom can make sure everything is in order. Its like someone buying a house for you and now you get to decorate it. The way you want it. But don’t be totally stubborn and, I might add foolish, and do things without consulting the bride. Make it a team effort and decide things together, leaving the door open for a few surprises that will show how innovative you can be.

Scalp Ringworm - Treatment For Ringworm

Tuesday, July 31st, 2007

Scalp ringworm is a more common condition than most people think. In the U.S. alone, it is estimated that close to 10% of the population gets scalp ringworm. That surprises a lot of people who really don’t understand what it is, or how to treat the symptoms.

Children between the ages of 4-14 are the ones who are most likely to be infected with scalp ringworm. Although it does affect adults on occasion as well, it’s children who are the biggest target. Doctors have no real explanation as to why, but many believe it is due to kids interacting with each other throughout the day at school and playing together at other times. Other groups of people who tend to be infected more than others include those with a weakened immune system along with people who suffer from diabetes. Here is a scalp ringworm picture.

A Dozen Tips for Writing a Residential Lease

Monday, July 30th, 2007

If you are a landlord you want a well written lease that protects both you and your property. Here are twelve tips for writing a good, solid lease that will protect your investment.

Be sure you know your state law and any local ordinances that may affect your lease. Consult an attorney for the drafting of your lease after giving thought to the following suggestions.

Your lease should answer the following questions:

1. How much is the rent and all amounts due?
This sounds pretty basic but the total amount due from the tenant should be spelled out clearly. In my lease I require first month’s rent, last month’s rent, a security deposit, and a non-refundable pet depreciation fee. I show the total of all these amounts in a Summary of Amounts due. This way if I am ever in court, the judge can clearly see what is due. Judges don’t like to hunt through your lease to determine what the tenant owes you.

Considerations When Choosing a Brokerage With Whom to Launch your Real Estate Career

Sunday, July 29th, 2007

A career in real estate is a choice which an increasing number of people find to be rewarding both financially and personally. Investing in a future as a real estate agent involves both a monetary and a professional commitment, and this commitment to education continues well beyond the minimum courses an individual must take according to provincial laws.

While completing the courses required and achieving the marks necessary to be certified is an important step in setting up your real estate career, it is also the smallest step on the long road to success. These courses will familiarize you with laws regarding real estate and the terms governing the process, but where your success will ultimately be decided is in the quality of in-the-field training you receive. This training will be provided by the brokerage with which you work, so it’s important to screen your brokerage options before you commit your career to them.

Strip search riles Guard commander; Claims tattoo check had ethnic

Saturday, July 28th, 2007

Army officials said the searches last May of 58 New Mexico National Guardsmen in a unit called Task Force Cobra were proper and legal.

But Brig. Gen. Kenny Montoya, head of the state National Guard, said he believes ethnicity played a role in the episode — the unit is 55 percent Hispanic.

“I said something wrong was done there, and it was because of race, and I want to make sure it will not happen again,” Montoya said.

The search was prompted by an unsubstantiated allegation from a soldier in another unit who complained about gang activity among soldiers in Kuwait. The soldier claimed to have seen gang tattoos among members of Task Force Cobra’s parent unit.

The search turned up no gang tattoos. After the incident, the Army recommended discipline against three New Mexico soldiers who objected to the searches. Maj. Kenneth Nava said those three were counseled but not otherwise punished.

New Mexico’s congressional delegation demanded a full investigation from the Army.

Maj. Anne Edgecomb, an Army spokeswoman, said the Army had just received the call for a full investigation and had yet to respond.

“The U.S. Army, one of the most ethnically diverse organizations in our nation, provides equal opportunity to all our soldiers regardless of race, ethnicity or gender,” she said.
